  • Avalon Plantation Hardwood Pine Floors. The 25,000 acre Avalon Plantation is a certified forest located in North Florida and is part of the Turner Endangered Species Fund. Forest certification assures consumers that the forest products they purchase are derived from operations that manage forests to a pre-determined set of environmental, social and economic standards. The Forest Stewardship Council is the most credible of certifications and is an independent, international nonprofit organization whose membership is comprised of more than 500 environmental groups, progressive companies, forestry professionals, social scientists and groups representing labor, church and indigenous people's interests. Formed in 1993, the FSC has established a set of international forest management standards; it also accredits and monitors certification organizations that evaluate on-the-ground compliance with these standards in forests around the world. www.fscus.org.

  • Rugs By Robinson Rugs. Rugs by Robinson is world-known for their handmade rugs and house the most unique collection of antique carpets in America.   • AFM Safecoat DuroStain. AFM is a specialty manufacturer of paints, primers, stains and other building materials. With a dedication to developing products which focus on human health and the elimination of toxicity as well as performance, AFM strives to eliminate the use of hazardous or toxic materials, reduce offgassing and create formulations that prevent indoor air pollution.   • Forbo Marmoleum Flooring. Forbo is commited to protecting the environment investing in a sustainable future by constantly seeking to create more environmentally friendly products and processes. Marmoleum has been a mainstay floor covering for over 100 years because it is one of the few products made from primarily natural raw materials. It is made up of linseed oil, rosins and wood flour and is calendared onto a natural jute backing, instead of the standard polyester. Because Marmoleum is a natural organic product, its performance is enhanced by time as exposure to the air serves to harden and increase its durability. Marmoleum has no adverse health issues either during production, its useful life or disposal as it is made with natural materials and installed with solvent free adhesives, there are no harmful VOC’s being emitted. The bacterial properties of Marmoleum prevent micro-organisms including Salmonells and Staph from multiplying themselves due in part to the continual oxidation of the linseed oil. www.themarmoleumstore.com.

  • Renaissance Tile and Bath Flooring. Since 1991, Renaissance Tile & Bath has experienced extraordinary growth, expanding from a single studio to becoming a major source for upscale tile and bath fixtures. Since opening their Atlanta showroom over 13 years ago, they have opened design studios in Charlotte (1997), Nashville (1999) and most recently, Washington, D.C. (2004). Terra Firma is a handmade tile that can be found at Renaissance Tile and Bath. Using an updated version of an age old process, raw clay s pressed into plaster molds duplicating original designs true in spirit to the Arts & Craft tradition. This procedure not only makes the tile more dense and durable, but it eliminates the waste that comes from cutting tile. Tiles are then hand glazed, minimizing toxic emissions.

Wool Elements are a special collection of wool carpets made with the finest New Zealand wools. Because it ages gracefully, wool looks beautiful, longer.
